A Bright Path Forward

Protecting the lands and waters of NH
Maintaining our roads and bridges and public buildings
Preserving reproductive freedom
Supporting public schools and libraries
About Me
I have lived in Newmarket since 1981, engaging with NH land and building preservation and the protection of Great Bay. My wonderful mother-in-law, Elizabeth Popov, served in the NH legislature for 4 terms and excited me about its important work.
Over the years in Newmarket, I have supported various community programs, including the Newmarket Community Education Partnership, the Newmarket Food Pantry, the Newmarket Recreation Camp—Camp Wanna Iguana—, and the Newmarket Library.
I am a law professor, a mediator, and the founding director of Cardozo Law School’s highly ranked dispute resolution program. That work led me to a passion for civility, communication and problem solving, which I want to bring to the legislature.
I am the Past Chair of the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution. My writing about dispute resolution includes co-authoring three law school textbooks, as well as 3 books about mediation. I have received 2 Lifetime Achievement Awards in the field of mediation. I share my New Hampshire farm with my beautiful daughter, her husband and 3 grandchildren. I want their future to be as bright as can be. Please elect me and I will do my best to serve you.
